About SoundWise4Kids

Identifying early learning risks before they become learning gaps

Our Mission

We believe the future of education is proactive, not reactive.

Science shows that language, motor, and learning foundations begin developing long before children ever enter a classroom. A preventive, early-first approach focused on rich language environments, healthy motor development, supportive home and school settings, early educator training, and timely, targeted intervention is both scientifically grounded and urgently needed for policy and practice.

SoundWise4Kids was built to help bridge developmental cognitive neuroscience, the science of reading, and education policy with real-world tools that support language, motor development and emotional cognition from the earliest years. Our goal is to move support upstream, so fewer children struggle later, and more children enter school confident, capable, and ready to learn.

Why SoundWise4Kids Was Built

As a parent, I watched my own child struggle with simple tasks in preschool and early kindergarten. Like many families, we were told to wait and see. That waiting didn't just delay progress, it chipped away at confidence.

In my pediatric practice I became aware that this is all too common. That's when I knew I needed to provide the same innovations I had developed for my own child.

Accordingly, I created SoundWise RX, my interactive developmental assessment tool. With SoundWise RX, I give each child paper and crayons and play fun games while parents watch. My goal became ensuring my patients enter school sounding wise.

I have worked closely with developmental pediatricians, pediatric neurologists, speech, occupational, and physical therapists to bring together evidence-based science in a form that feels like play to children, but delivers meaningful insight to parents, educators and clinicians.

Every child deserves to walk into the classroom, onto the playground, and into extracurricular activities with confidence, able to communicate, move, and connect without feeling left behind. SoundWise4Kids exists to make sure no child has to wait too long for the support they need to thrive.
